Abstract We use the quantum work statistics to characterize controlled dynamics governed by a counterdiabatic driving field. Focusing on Shannon entropy of probability distribution, P(W), we demonstrate that thermodynamics evolution serves as an insightful tool for studying non-equilibrium complex systems. In particular, show P(W) recovers expected scaling according Kibble-Zurek mechanism Landau-Zener model.
